Taupo is a busy and vibrant Holiday & Event destination, boasting a beautiful clean fresh water Lake and Rivers. Dramatic mountain views, maori culture, thermal activity, great cafe' restaurants, bars and shopping.

Best known for its sporting events like Ironman, and Round the Lake Cycle Challenge with 12,000 cyclists at last count. Trout fishing and snow skiing are just some of the fabulous activities available to suit all budgets and age groups.

Taupo is in the centre of the North Island, and many of our guests enjoy short day trips to many regions, like the famous Tongariro Crossing & National Park, for skiing & tramping, just over an hour away. Hawkes Bay wine region just 2 hours drive, the beautiful and amazing Waitomo caves, Rotorua, and many other interesting destinations.

Our Motel's large family units make us especially suitable for hosting sports or family groups, and lately lots of school sports teams like Netball and Clay Bird shooting have been here to compete. The Harriers club take over the whole Motel when they arrive.
